About
A bidding tool for the cash side of restoration. Built by operators making the same pivot you are.
RestorationBids.ai exists because the industry is changing faster than the software has. Insurance carriers keep tightening line-item pricing and dragging out approvals. Smart restoration operators are building cash-pay revenue lines as fast as they can — but the bidding tools they have were all built for insurance work.
We started in mold remediation, doing more cash bids every quarter, losing winnable jobs because we couldn't bid fast enough or consistently enough. The principals had institutional knowledge about scope, change-order triggers, pricing nuance — but it lived in their heads. Delegating to a PM meant losing margin or losing the bid entirely.
We encoded our rules. Tracked which jobs we under-priced and which we over-priced. Used AI to read protocols, surface the things we'd otherwise miss, and write customer-facing scope in our voice. The result: more bids out the door, better margin protection, faster PM ramp.
That's the product. We're now opening it to a small set of beta partners.
What it does
- Takes a protocol PDF (mold) or scope document (water mit) plus your inputs
- Computes the price using YOUR rules — labor rate, burden, target margin, markup
- Generates customer-ready scope, estimate, and sales email in plain English
- Surfaces what Claude noticed in the protocol — risks, gaps, things to confirm
- Produces an internal ops packet for your PM to take to the field
- Tracks win/loss + actual margin so you can coach pricing over time
Who it's for
Restoration shops doing cash work — direct-pay mold and water mitigation. Especially:
- Principals tired of bidding everything themselves
- Shops pivoting away from insurance toward cash work
- Owners who want to delegate bidding without losing margin
- Teams running 30+ bids/quarter with inconsistent close rates
Who it's NOT for
- Insurance-only shops who need Xactimate / Symbility for carrier approvals
- Solo operators doing <10 bids/quarter (Excel is fine at that volume)
- Shops without their own pricing point of view (we encode YOUR rules, not a generic template)
Where we are
Private beta with The Dry Guy Restoration in Haslet, Texas. Onboarding three to five more shops over the next quarter — by invitation only — to validate the pricing model and scope templates across different regional markets and service mixes.
If you're a restoration operator and this resonates, request access — we'll talk.
